See below for the various opportunities to be a part of our festival experience and APPLY to be a vendor. We have limited space for Chefs, Beverages, and Vendor Booths so we will review all applications carefully and we will curate in folks based on space by early February. If you are NOT chosen, we will refund your booth fee.

Chefs & Caterers

By participating in our inaugural event, you’ll be working with fellow food & beverage game changers to create a new kind of food festival — one that not only spotlights the next generation of Bay Area F&B talent and tastemakers, but one that is rooted in creative culture, access, and community. 

POC Food & Wine was created to make an event like this accessible from top to bottom, which includes our talented chefs.

“The Main Dish” Palette Pass Chef or Caterer

Be a part of our signature PALETTE PASS Program that features 15 unique food & drink pairings:

  • Featured Chefs serving 1-2 oz tastings, a mix of savory and sweet offerings that comes with a beverage pairing.
  • Guests can choose between Alcoholic or Zero Proof beverage pairings.

Event Details:

  • Saturday May 4, 2024 during The Main Dish event
  • 1-5PM Festival
  • Expected 600-800 guests

Each Palette Pass Food Booth will include:

  • 8×8 ft space for food prep and service
  • (2) 8 ft folding tables and linens
  • A wine pairing with your featured dish, in partnership with one of our local wineries.
  • Event branded marketing materials for social media
  • An allocated budget for ingredients

Vendor Requirements:

  • Chefs to bring all items needed to cook, prep, and warm your food for service.
  • All staff & servers must be trained and abide by food safety health guidelines for service.
  • Provide compostables for guest service. We will provided trays for all guests to hold their food/drink pairings.
  • Commit to setting up your booth on Friday load in or early Saturday morning
  • Commit to staffing your booth for the entire event. 
  • Help promote the event by doing at least (1) post on your social media main feed and at least (1) email blast (if you have an email list). We will provide a social media kit and social assets for you to share.

Featured Chef or Caterer for Signature Event

Be a part of one of our signature curated food & drink event experiences throughout the weekend!

Event Details:

  • Friday May 3, 2024; 6-9PM Opening Night Reception (expected 200 guests)
  • Saturday May 4, 2024; 7-10PM Brown is Beautiful Afterparty + Caterer’s Showcase (expected 200-300 guests)
  • Sunday Curated Events

Each Booth will include

  • 8×8 ft booth space for food prep and service
  • (2) 8 ft folding tables and linens
  • Event branded marketing materials for social media
  • An allocated budget for ingredients 
  • *This year’s venue will have limited full kitchen cook space. While we’ll do our best to accommodate each chef’s cooking needs, we encourage chefs to plan for the majority of your prep to happen off-site.

Small Batch Wine, Spirits & Beverage Brands

Provide critical SIPS for all our guests throughout the weekend! We have many opportunities for wine, spirits, and beverage brands to be highlighted at all our curated events.

NOTE: These packages below are intended for SMALL BATCH Community Winemakers, Spirits, and Beverage brands only.

Each featured vendor will be provided:

Vendor Requirements:

  • Cash sales must be entered into Square, Paypal, or other POS system. We ask vendors to report total sales at the end of each day before checking out.
  • Commit to setting up your booth on Friday load in or early Saturday morning
  • Commit to staffing your booth for the entire event. 
  • Help promote the event by doing at least (1) post on your social media main feed and at least (1) email blast (if you have an email list). We will provide a social media kit and social assets for you to share.
  • Vendors must remove all merchandise boxes & trash at the end of the event.

Questions & FAQ

What is the timeline for when we will find out if we are chosen?

February 6, 2024 – Application Deadline
February 9, 2024 – Date to curate in vendors.
February 12, 2024 – Refunds processed for vendors not curated in.

By purchasing my booth, does that mean I am in?

Signing up and paying for your booth does not mean you are in – this is your application to be considered. After reviewing all applicants, our Curator team will select a diverse group of Chefs, Beverage brands, and Retail vendors to be featured in this year’s festival. If you don’t make it this first year, no worries! We will be having plenty of opportunities to be featured this year.

Other Important Notes:
  • Deadline for applications is Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 11:59pm. >>> We are still accepting applications for interested Vendors. PLEASE EMAIL JENN@MAKEITMARIKO.COM TO INQUIRE.

  • Please note that all fees are non-refundable 90 days prior to the festival date (February 5th, 2024).
  • All applicants can expect to hear back about their application status by Friday, February 2nd, 2024.
